FAQ
Is this a quote?
No. It's a written, photo-based assessment with a ballpark cost range to help you budget and decide what to do next. For a fixed price you need an on-site inspection; every report includes an option to book a free site visit with a vetted contractor.
How do you measure my roof?
From your address we pull satellite roof data for your property: roof surface area, pitch and number of roof sections, plus a top-down satellite image. That area drives the cost estimate. In the rare case there's no satellite coverage for your address, we use the size you enter instead.
Do I have to send photos?
No, but we strongly recommend at least 3. Satellite images are great for size and layout, but their resolution can't show rust, cracks, failed sealant or worn coatings. Those condition details come only from your photos, and the report says so clearly.
How accurate is the report?
Good photos show most common problems: rust, cracked or failed sealant, ponding, worn coatings, broken tiles and damaged flashings. Photos can't show hidden damage under sheets, inside the roof space or out of frame, so the report tells you what could and couldn't be assessed.
Who writes the report?
Your satellite view and photos are analysed with AI vision tools set up to spot common South African roof defects, and reports are quality-checked by people with hands-on roofing experience.
How do I take good photos safely?
Don't climb onto the roof. Shoot from the ground, an upstairs window, a secured ladder at gutter height, or a drone. Take one or two wide shots of each roof section plus close-ups of anything that worries you: rust, stains, cracks, joins and gutters. Daylight works best.
When will I get it?
Orders placed 07:00 to 19:00 (SAST) are delivered within the hour. Later orders are delivered by 08:00 the next morning.
What if my photos aren't good enough?
We'll email you to ask for better photos. If we still can't assess your roof, you get a full refund.
Which roofs do you cover?
IBR and corrugated metal, Klip-lok, concrete and clay tile, asbestos-cement sheeting and flat concrete roofs. Asbestos roofs get extra safety notes, as they may only be worked on by registered asbestos contractors.
How do I pay? Is it secure?
Payments are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if your report isn't delivered within 24 hours of payment, or if we can't produce a useful report from your photos and the satellite data. See our refund policy.
